Matthias Bargholz is a German artist born in 1959 in Stendal.
Matthias Bargholz began studying art from an early age, he began with painting on porcelain between 1976 and 1978. Later, in 1982, he studied at Ecole des Beaux Arts in Heiligendamm.
During the early stages of his career as professional painter, Matthias Bargholz was bent towards painting the landscapes of Northern Germany.
After passing through abstraction, Matthias Bargholz recently decided to come back to his first themes and patterns, that is to say a realistic representation of nature. According to the artist, nature has endless potential.
Between 1991 and 1993, Matthias Bargholz turned towards culture management and in 2003 he produced a movie.
