Biography
Klowor Waldiyono, an award winning artist from Indonesia, famous for his strong lines and colors that gives significance into his naive decorative expressionist paintings. His spontaneous lines, flexible yet firm, hard yet soft, big and small, seemed to be an expression of his life journey full of twists and turns, but above all, he could always find a way to keep a positive outlook. While in coloring, he uses layered technique that creates perfect color gradations, both for colorful or monochrome choice. The objects in Klowor's works are about everyday life, especially animals and the environment, but he has this distinctive touch that gives personality in his works, as well as give an addiction effect for his collectors. Klowor has won the UOB Art Award in 2011 and has been a finalist for the Phillip Morris Art Award for a couple times.
