Peter Monaghan

Peter Monaghan is a painter-designer born in 1955 in Ireland. He studied at the National College of Art and Design of Dublin. Once he graduated, he started working for a company pioneering desing and received several awards for his creations. In 1983, he decided to create his own company, which became a partner of the Creative Inputs society. He works as well for catalogs of the National Gallery and the Museum of Modern Art of Ireland. In 2000, He put an end to his career as a designer in order to dedicate completely to painting and sculpture.

His creations are obviously inspired by his past as a designer. Geometric and bright, his pieces are a call to the eyes. Peter Monaghan plays with the lines and the shapes to create optical illusions and challenge our vision and our senses.

His pieces are exhibited in several prestigious places, such as the presidential suite at the Dublin Airport VIP, at the Beacon Clinic, at the Gibson Hotel in Point Village, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Abu Dhabi..... In 2010, he won the Award of Arts by the National Allianz Bussiness, for the category commissioned artists.
