Leead Shamir

Leead is a passionate individual with several solo and group exhibitions.The main reason that brought Leead to the field of art was the difficulty of adapting to a structured and rigid framework. A typical day in Leead's life is divided between teaching art and creating in her studio on the kibbutz.

Leead has always sought the limitless freedom, the spaces to create and discover. Leead's life as an artist made her connect more and more with her intuition and her emotional world, and explore the soul inwardly.

Leead's inspiration to paint stemmed from the difficulty she faced during her childhood, the search for the freedom for authentic self-expression that is unique to her.The way she begins painting is usually with the help of abstract spots from which she allows images to emerge on the canvas, and then develops them into different objects.
