Bronze Sculpture for Sale
Marcel was born in 1956 on a small, virtually uninhabited island off the coast of Madagascar. With no other children to interact with, he spent much of his early childhood talking to himself, developing an introspective nature that would become a key element of his creative identity. Raised in a multicultural Jewish home, his father was English of Russian descent and his mother Malagasy. This blend of cultural influences, along with a strong attachment to his Jewish heritage, profoundly shaped his worldview. Having grown up in a family where art was ever-present—his grandmother was a renowned pianist—he developed a keen appreciation for the creative process at a young age. In 1988, he moved to Paris to study at the École des Beaux-Arts in Montparnasse, where he discovered his passion for painting and began exploring its many possibilities as a means of personal expression. Before dedicating himself fully to painting, Marcel ran a thriving boutique for several decades, creating bespoke shoes for prestigious brands. This experience in the world of fashion, where precision and attention to detail were paramount, influenced his artistic approach, imbuing his paintings with exceptional meticulousness and craftsmanship. Now living in Tel Aviv with his family, Moore continues to draw upon his rich multicultural heritage. His life experiences, both personal and artistic, converge in his work, offering a unique perspective on the human condition and the world around him.
