Bernard Carver is a painter living in France. He spent nearly 20 years in Lebanon, Beirut, and then decided to moved to Paris. Where he can give free rein to his passion for art and literature. He became a bookseller and started painting.
Bernard Carver's paintings are inspired by the city of Paris. His first canvases depicted the mythical monuments of the capital, which he can appreciate from his studio in St German des Prés.
Bernard Carver uses relief of several layers of materials that he superimposes on his canvases to play with the image. Influenced by impressionists, the artist uses pastel tones, acrylic painted sheets, as well as fluorescent paint to give a poetic and luminous touch to his work. The materials are different and varied, giving each one of his creations a mysterious dimension which encompasses all of his work.
Bernard Carver has participated in numerous exhibitions all around the world, including at the Salon of Louvre and at the Grand Palais.
