Samuël Levy

Born in 1978 Samuel Levy lives and works in Luxembourg. A young plastic artist, energy catalyst, he stores everything that surrounds us, mixes it and transcribes it on the canvas. Working without preconceptions, without established concept, it is the energy rapport, the interaction between external elements and his work that interests him. His basic tool: the ballpoint pen.

Samuel Levy's drawings made with the ballpoint pen send us back to automatic drawings, children's drawings or graffiti, style does not matter, it is the rendering of the image and the product that matters. After painting for several years he wanted to reduce his tool palette in order to focus on the essentials, this is how he came back to drawing, and then to drawing with a bic pen.
