Mélanie Humbert is a painter, illustrator and wall painter who lives in the capital of Luxembourg. Colorful, minimalist and abstract works characterize her art, where color blocking is one of the main elements of the work. The focus is on acrylic painting on canvas, paper, textiles and wood.
Familiar and ubiquitous shapes are created in a new and abstract perspective by a soft and bizarre style at the same time. Different colors play an important role in works of her art; they allow to create a different atmosphere and to diffuse warmth, freshness and optimism. The works trigger a lightness without rules of color and form. They reflects a freedom of movements, expressed with colors and bodies.
