Biography

"My work reflects my quest for greater knowledge as a way of honouring  my roots."
- Sara Benabdallah

More than a photographer and filmmaker, Sara Benabdallah is a storyteller whose mission is to share the richness of Morocco's heritage and culture to the world. Born and raised in the historic Medina of Marrakech, the multifaceted artist is motivated by a desire to showcase the spender of this Maghreb country, highlighting its complex and diverse legacy. After studying abroad, she returned to her homeland and noticed a decline in demand for centuries-old crafts and a lack of interest in preserving them among younger generations.
