Jacky Zegers

Jacky Zegers (1972) lives and works in Arnhem (NL). Her work consists mainly of sculptures and paintings. Working as a math teacher, she gradually came to the realization that her life could no longer consist solely of formulas and numbers. In 2006, she made the decision to follow her heart and become an artist. Self-taught, she draws her inspiration from nature. The symmetry and patterns that can be found there are given a place in her work. She can't hide her love for bright colors and exaggerated shapes. Her work radiates positivity and that is exactly the intention. With her work, she wants people to stop and enjoy the moment. She wants to draw attention to the beautiful and carefree things in life. Life is there to have fun, to love, and to enjoy. With other people and animals. You can recognize that in her art, which shows you and feels how beautiful life is, with a wink.
