Description
This striking sculpture bursts with vibrant colors and whimsical forms, showcasing an imaginative assembly of abstract figures. Towering vertically, the artwork features playful characters interlocked in a cheerful dance, their exaggerated limbs and oversized features adding to the dynamic energy. Each figure is adorned in bold shades of red, blue, green, and yellow, accentuated by glossy surfaces that reflect light brilliantly. The piece stands on a sleek black base, providing a stark contrast and anchoring the lively composition. The piece's surrealistic style, reminiscent of a dreamscape, invites viewers to explore themes of joy and interconnectedness. Its unique combination of fluid form and vivid coloration embodies a sense of movement and harmony, making it a captivating focal point for any space.
Presentation
Jacky Zegers (1972) lives and works in Arnhem (NL). Her work consists mainly of sculptures and paintings. Working as a math teacher, she gradually came to the realization that her life could no longer consist solely of formulas and numbers. In 2006, she made the decision to follow her heart and become an artist. Self-taught, she draws her inspiration from nature. The symmetry and patterns that can be found there are given a place in her work. She can't hide her love for bright colors and exaggerated shapes. Her work radiates positivity and that is exactly the intention. With her work, she wants people to stop and enjoy the moment. She wants to draw attention to the beautiful and carefree things in life. Life is there to have fun, to love, and to enjoy. With other people and animals. You can recognize that in her art, which shows you and feels how beautiful life is, with a wink.
