Weronika Adamska

She is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, where she studied at the Faculty of Painting, in the studio of prof. Janusz Matuszewski and then in the studio of prof. Andrzej Bednarczyk. She received her diploma in 2020. She also studied at the University of Granada in Spain. 

The artist about her painting: I often allow myself to take actions whose final effect may turn out to be both a dead end and the opening of a new chapter. Focusing on one motif and exploring it in the field of various artistic techniques causes that the original theme is constantly transformed and acquires new values. 

The search for abstract elements gave me the opportunity to free myself from the schematic perception of nature. Under the surface of the water, the noise disappears, the feeling of being suspended in space dominates, you can finally be alone with your own thoughts. 

It is a world without the need to realize and be, a place devoid of the hustle and bustle of everyday life, where you can find peace. Silence and duration allow you to find a balance that is lost in everyday life. This is not a sign of dementia - quite the opposite. In everyday movement, we miss the moment of stopping. 

We feel this lack, that's why the moments when we feel "stopping the world" fascinate us so much. "Beneath the surface", there is a world that I miss, from which only the need to breathe pulls me out.
