Biography

She arrived in Paris in 1947 with her husband, Alexandre Istrati, also a painter. They are greeted by their compatriot, the sculptor Constantin Brâncui, who accommodates them in a workshop next to his, at Impasse Ronsin in the 15th arrondissement. Their friendship will last until the end and Brâncui will appoint the couple as executor. She shares a grave in the Montparnasse cemetery with Constantin Brâncui and Alexandre Istrati.
