Laura Soulier

Laura Soulier, a contemporary French painter born in 1992 in Marseille, currently lives and works in Bierné, Mayenne. Her work stems from an attentive and sensitive observation of the world around her, which she interprets with freedom and abstraction on the canvas.

She initially explored her ideas through small-format works, searching for compositions and chromatic harmonies. These "studies," veritable creative laboratories, became the foundation for her future paintings. When she moved to larger formats, her works gained in spatiality: dynamic and airy, they command attention with their presence.

Laura Soulier works simultaneously on several canvases, constantly moving back and forth between them to continually refresh her perspective. Seated on the floor, she moves around her works, constantly changing her viewpoint. The creative process is punctuated by the drying times between each layer, moments when she steps back to reflect.
The result? A resolutely free and personal work, reflecting a keen sensitivity to the environment that inspires him.
