Biography
BA in Fine Arts. University of Madrid.
Doctor’s degree in Fine Arts. University of Vigo.
Professor at the University of Pontevedra.
His work is focused on a specific observation and description of the visible. He represents things, people and places of his immediate surroundings, which has become a reason for reflection and contemplation, related to the idea of day-life objects.
The direct observation of fragments of reality and their translation into a pictorial or drawing medium impel him to paint from nature, which emphasizes the importance of the experience of a specific space and time. This make him work in the urban space, on the street, using conventional supports but also founded objects such as boards, torn-up posters, rubble or paper napkins from bars. Moreover, in the studio he paints objects also found on the street or "the things that were already there”, surrounding him.
