Born in 1980, Bangkok, Thailand – Lives and works in Bangkok, Thailand
Verapat Sitipol is a Thai artist born in 1980. In 2004, Verapat graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Painting from Silpakorn University in Thailand. He graduated with a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Painting from Visva-Bharati University in Santiniketan, India in 2006.
His first solo exhibition "The Image of Land" took place in 2004 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kolkata, India. In the same year, his collective exhibition "National Exhibition of Art 49th" was at the National Gallery in Bangkok, Thailand. Since then, Verapat has exhibited several times individually and collectively.
The artist's abstract paintings explore the powerful relationship between line and color. He believes that the symbolic exchange between the realist and the artistic opens up many avenues of inspiration within his work. He has been exhibiting all over the world for more than 15 years. He lives and works in Kanchanaburi, Thailand.
