Biography
After a successful career in advertising and design, Roger Mavity has re-discovered himself as a photographer.
He studied photography in London at Central St. Martin’s School of Art, and then at the University of Westminster, where he was awarded a Masters degree with Merit. He held his first one-man show in London in March 2009, and his work has since been exhibited in Brussels, Ghent, Amsterdam, London and Paris.
His work usually features spectacularly large images, all of which are concerned with the surreal and the erotic.
He says of his work, “Photographers usually make images of what they see with their eyes: I prefer to make images of what I see with my mind.”
