He is a Dutch sculptor, painter and lithographer active in Amersfoort.

Hans van Horck's paintings and sculptures draw inspiration from European, Asian, African, and North American mythology. His works feature a high degree of abstraction, but are rarely completely abstract. His works often incorporate symbols from ancient cultures or figurative elements drawn from nature or architecture. Occasionally, the female nude also appears. Van Horck doesn't care whether his work is labeled lyrical-abstract, abstract-figurative, or otherwise.
