Emma Johnston is a Battersea and Sussex-based artist.
Having always enjoyed art, she realised whilst registered at the Gemological Institute of America, that it was the artistic side rather than the fine minutiae of gem design that she truly loved.
As a consequence she enrolled at the Heatherley School of Fine Art in 2006, where she swiftly followed a Foundation Course with a figurative sculpture diploma.
In the summer of 2009 Emma Johnston graduated with a special commendation and has since had her charcoals, paintings and sculptures exhibited in private collections in England, Europe, Australia and America. Her cohesion of the organic with fine art training in her paintings results in an ethereal and atmospheric sensitivity of the landscape.
