Biography
Thurle Wright comes from Zimbabwe.
She has studied modern literature and languages before specializing in visual art. She is a graduate of the Textiles program of the Goldsmiths College. She lives in Folkestone, Kent.
Her delicate and meticulous work is often very repetitive; she works with extremely complex paper shapes that come from her interest in the systems and structures of language and of knowledge and in the construction of myths. She transforms pages of books, atlases, dictionaries and newspapers into fragile works of art.
