Biography
Born in Florida, 1992, Vaughn Spann is an American artist. He received his MFA from Yale School of Art in 2018 and in 2020 was included on the Forbes 30 under 30 list.
Spann's formalist canvases investigate time, memory and space. His paintings are varied in style and subject ranging from abstracted compositions to surrealist portraits.
Recent solo exhibitions of Spann's works have taken place in Paris (2022), Shanghai (2021), Aspen and New York (2021). In 2017, Spann received the Alice Kimball Traveling Fellowship.
