My own artistic inspiration comes out of a love for dramatic, awe-inspiring, and vast paintings.
Biography
A California native, David Dimichele attended the University of California at Berkeley, the University of California at Santa Cruz, and California State University Long Beach. He has had one person shows in Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco, and many group shows in California.
His Pseudodocumentation series of large scale photographs combines aspects of drawing, painting, sculpture, installation and photography into a unique art form that brings post-studio concepts full circle.
A recipient of the City of Los Angeles (COLA) Individual Artist Fellowship, he currently lives in Altadena, just north of Los Angeles, where he is inspired by the nearby forests of the San Gabriel Mountains.
