Alla Allsoil

United States • 1987

I am inspired by nature in all its forms: quiet fields, riverbanks, open spaces, and those moments when time seems to stand still.

Biography

Alla Allsoil is a contemporary artist, whose practice explores the intersection of abstraction, landscape, and textured painting. In recent years, she has developed a distinctive visual language centered on the emotional experience of nature, using texture as both a physical material and a means of perception.

After studying the academic foundations of painting, composition, and color, Alla continued developing her practice through specialized training in contemporary textured painting and years of independent studio work. Her paintings have been exhibited in contemporary art projects in Moscow, including Slower Than Vacation at S/LAY Gallery and Native Landscapes at Inspiration Gallery. She was also shortlisted for the international exhibition Water Stories organized by the International Artists' Cooperative.

Her works have been acquired by collectors in Russia. Alla Allsoil continues to expand her international presence through exhibitions and contemporary art platforms while developing new bodies of work dedicated to the quiet emotional language of landscape.

Working primarily with acrylic and palette knife techniques, Alla builds layered surfaces that evoke soil, stone, water, wind, and traces left by time. Rather than depicting specific places, she creates atmospheric landscapes that invite viewers to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with a sense of stillness. Her restrained natural palette and tactile compositions transform familiar scenery into spaces of quiet reflection.

Inspired by open fields, riverbanks, changing light, and subtle transitions of color found in the natural world, Alla Allsoil approaches landscape as an emotional state rather than a geographical location. Texture plays a central role in her practice, allowing the physical surface of each painting to mirror the rhythms and imperfections of nature itself.
