Olga Skorokhod

Olga Skorokhod (b. 1986) is a Ukrainian-born, US-based contemporary artist specializing in sculptural paper. Trained in Fine Arts in Kyiv, she began her career in illustration and portraiture before discovering paper sculpture after moving to the United States in 2013.

Inspired by nature, transformation, and the passage of time, Skorokhod creates layered, monochromatic paper works that explore texture, movement, and the possibilities of a seemingly simple material. Her practice often incorporates leftover and reclaimed materials, reflecting her interest in sustainability and the transformation of discarded matter into objects of beauty and contemplation.

Skorokhod's award-winning work has been presented in more than 50 exhibitions internationally and is held in collections across more than 20 countries. Her work has been featured by CNN Indonesia, Saatchi Art, and in . She also co-created the internationally acclaimed recycling campaign in Sri Lanka.

Her selected exhibitions include the 38th Annual McNeese National Works on Paper at Sherman Fine Arts Grand Gallery, Lake Charles; at Craft Alliance, St. Louis; at bG Gallery, Santa Monica; and , Los Angeles Convention Center.

Skorokhod has received numerous awards, including the Award of Merit at the juried exhibition, Silver and Bronze awards at the EPICA Awards in Paris, Gold and Silver at the Kinsale Shark Awards in Dublin, and the Joan Eliot Sappington Award at the Lake Oswego Festival of the Arts.
