Working primarily in oil and pastel, Ogle is recognized for his dramatic landscapes, wildlife, Western figures, and Native American subjects, combining strong color with a detailed appreciation of the natural environment. He has also painted extensively in Alaska, Ireland, Mexico, and Japan. His numerous honors include Best of Show awards at the Kalispell Art Show & Auction and the Stockmans Federation show in Calgary, as well as the 1982 Ace Powell Memorial Award. His work has been exhibited widely and featured in publications and exhibitions devoted to Western and contemporary American art, and is held in private and corporate collections throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe.
