Gavin Worth

Gavin Worth spent his childhood in Zimbabwe, Africa where he was born in 1981, before moving to Las Cruces, New Mexico.

He started his artistic career as a musician and actor and participated at the Shakespeare Festival in Santa Fe. At that time, he followed the steps of famous dramatist before meeting Michelangelo.
It was in a library that something changed in him and he decided to change his vocation when seeing an artwork of painter Tete de Léda in a book.

From this moment on he became passionate about drawing but mostly about sculpture. In his work, he combines these two fields by using an innovative process and in a completely autodidactic way. He handles wire with finesse and dexterity, in order to make three dimensional shapes, faces or life scenes. Gavin Worth's sculptures are simple and refined, even though we can only appreciate the contour of the shapes, they still have a certain consistency.

Thanks to this technique, the talent of the artist has been recognized all around the world and coveted by big brands such as Lexus, Tiffany & Co and Ralph Lauren. He currently lives and works in Lausanne, Switzerland, where he continues to perfect his art.
