Description

This captivating glass sculpture exudes elegance and sophistication, showcasing the artist's mastery in contemporary glasswork. The piece is crafted from a delicate, translucent lavender glass that captures and refracts light, creating a dynamic interplay of color and shadow. Its form is reminiscent of a graceful sail, with sweeping curves that extend upward to form three points, evoking a sense of motion and fluidity. The seamless blend of soft, undulating lines with a bold, architectural structure highlights the meticulous craftsmanship involved. Its smooth surface reflects its surroundings subtly, adding depth and dimension. This artwork stands as a testament to innovative design, combining simplicity with an intricate aesthetic, making it a striking centerpiece in any modern space.

Presentation

Miloslav Klinger (1922-1977)

In the years 1936-1940 he graduated from the Secondary Vocational School of Glass in Železný Brod under the guidance of prof Jaroslav Brychta and master Jan Stuchlík.

After two years of experience in the Josef Kleinert glassworks, he continued his studies at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague in the studio of Karel Štipl from 1942. In 1944, he interrupted his studies and began creating sculptures from leaded metallurgical glass, again at Kleinert's company. He finished his studies only in 1948. He returned to Železný Brod as a designer of glassware and sculptures, where he worked with breaks until 1982. He collaborated with Josef Cvrček on some designs. He worked for three years as the director of the Secondary Glass School in Železný Brod. He returned to Železný Brod even after he moved to Prague.

He has exhibited exhibitions all over the world with his graphic works; promoted synthetic materials, mechanical and industrial work techniques. He was, among other things, the creator of stamp technology (so-called stamp art, originally children's and school rubber stamps).

He has suffered from Parkinson's disease since the 1980s, which gradually eliminated him from his career. [1]

He was also active as an art theorist, esthetician and publicist. He lectured at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, where he was appointed associate professor in 1986
