As a reflection on the value we give to objects, this series exposes examples of objects that we use daily and for different reasons ended up gaining very high prices. By redrawing them the idea is to generate a conversation about what we consider valuable to ourselves, and how thats a very relative concept.

This artwork presents a captivating reinterpretation of a dollar bill, emphasizing its intricate design elements while deliberately omitting any imagery that typically dominates currency. The focus is placed on the ornate border, showcasing meticulous detail with elaborate scrollwork and floral motifs, rendered in a rich, green hue. The partial text, "Will pay," hints at its monetary inspiration, yet leaves room for interpretation. The absence of the usual portrait or center details provides a unique commentary on the value and perception of money. A subtle incorporation of numbers and letters adds to the authenticity while blurring lines between art and currency. Framed elegantly with a wooden border, the piece challenges viewers to consider not just the face value of money, but the art within its design. The artist finds in drawing a way to explore the relevance of detail in the construction of images, objects and spaces.

The repetition of tiny elements such as the line in a drawing, lead to the construction of complex universes where that detail acquires value and becomes the basic unit, like the brick in a wall.

The gesture of the repetition of small elements and the time invested in doing it, is used as a tool to give "value" to the images that are constructed.
