Description
A minimalist and sensual drawing, created with charcoal and pastel on a soft beige background. A black grand piano emerges from expressive strokes of white and deep purple, capturing the essence of music as emotion in motion.
The handwritten phrase “Melody is a feeling that chose to be heard" is delicately woven into the composition, becoming both a whisper and a statement—a reminder that every sound is born from a feeling that chooses to express itself.
This work blends abstraction and retro elegance, evoking the timeless glamour of vintage aesthetics and the classic chic of a bygone era. It stands at the intersection of expressionism and minimalism—an elegant and emotionally charged exploration of music, memory, and feeling through an instrument that speaks without words.
Presentation
Kristina Mallen, a painter with a background in oil and acrylic mediums.
Her recognisable style infuses the sophistication of Art Deco, the pop of Pop Art with a dominant focus on the female figure, manifesting elegance and eroticism. Her work exudes the extravagance, classical chic, and charm of women, striking a balance between provocation and the sublime.
