Description

Three states of fragility: Modern Abstract Floral Artwork | Elegant Graphite, Grey & Beige for Contemporary Interiors

Dive into the poignant beauty of "Three states of fragility," an evocative abstract artwork that masterfully captures the essence of sensuality, vulnerability, and the quiet strength found within. This artwork presents three abstract floral forms, artfully devoid of botanical specifics, transforming them into powerful symbols of life's fleeting yet profound beauty. Executed with acrylic on paper (59x41.8 cm), the artist employs a serene palette of deep graphite, gentle grays, and warm beige tones, echoing modern graphics and a minimalist sensibility. The composition, arranged vertically, gracefully stretches the visual plane, with thoughtful use of negative space to enhance the feeling of introspective loneliness and individuality. This piece is a compelling example of modern floral abstraction, perfect for infusing any contemporary setting with a sense of calm and meditative energy. It's an exceptional choice for modern interior decoration, offering a sophisticated visual anchor, and makes an inspired art gift for collectors and design aficionados seeking unique wall decor.

Presentation

Yulia Nova (b. 1984, Odessa, Ukraine) is an emerging contemporary artist whose practice bridges psychology, minimalism, and lyrical botanical imagery. Now based in Minsk, Belarus, she works primarily with acrylic and oil pastels, creating tranquil, introspective compositions that invite the viewer into a state of inner calm and emotional clarity.

Originally trained as a psychologist, Nova worked with vulnerable children and families before turning to painting as a form of self-reflection and therapeutic dialogue. This background deeply informs her artistic voice: each artwork functions as a safe emotional space — a “sanctuary painting” — where nature, soft palettes, and gentle forms become tools for grounding and introspection.

Her visual language blends minimalism with impressionistic sensitivity, often centering on botanical motifs and feminine figures. Through laconic composition and delicate color harmonies, Nova explores the human desire to slow down, reconnect with inner truth, and restore a sense of balance amid the noise of modern life. Her works serve as quiet emotional anchors, offering the viewer a moment of silence and presence.

Nova has participated in local exhibitions in Minsk and is preparing new series for upcoming shows, including “Garden” at the National Center for Contemporary Arts (Minsk) and “FARBA Lab” at Farba Gallery. She actively presents her art through international and Russian online galleries.

Today, Yulia Nova continues to develop her multidisciplinary practice in Minsk, focusing on art as a pathway to emotional renewal, gentle reflection, and reconnection with the natural world.
