Description
Soft pastel colors flow across a dreamlike landscape, where sky, water, and land seem to dissolve into one another. Layers of turquoise, lavender, pink, coral, and pale yellow create an atmospheric composition filled with movement and reflected light.
Created with acrylic and watercolor pencils on paper, this original contemporary artwork explores the relationship between color, natural space, and abstraction. The artist transforms familiar landscape elements into expressive forms, allowing the boundaries between different parts of nature to gradually disappear.
The upper section suggests an open sky through muted blue, sage green, violet, and luminous yellow. Below, broad passages of dusty pink, rose, coral, and turquoise evoke water and land touched by changing light. Near the center, pale golden brushstrokes create the impression of shimmering reflections.
Layered textures, spontaneous marks, and subtle color transitions give the composition its distinctive character. Rather than describing a specific place, the artwork invites viewers to experience a landscape through atmosphere, movement, and personal emotion.
The combination of expressive gestures and a gentle pastel palette creates a balance between energy and tranquility. Its semi-abstract approach encourages the imagination, allowing different viewers to discover their own landscapes within the composition.
This contemporary artwork will appeal to collectors who appreciate colorful abstraction, peaceful natural imagery, and expressive interpretations of the environment. Its soft pink, blue, and lavender tones make it particularly attractive for a modern living room, bedroom, creative studio, or Scandinavian-inspired interior.
It also makes a thoughtful gift for someone who enjoys nature-inspired art, delicate color relationships, and artworks that bring a sense of calm and openness into everyday surroundings.
Materials: Acrylic and watercolor pencils on paper. Size: 37 × 39 cm (approximately 14.6 × 15.4 inches).
Shipping / Display: The artwork is shipped rolled in a protective tube and will require framing after delivery.
Presentation
Anastasiia Utliakova is a contemporary painter whose work has been exhibited across Russia, including New Names — 2025 at the Kamchatka Regional Art Museum in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, as well as exhibitions at ARS.VISIO in Moscow, YarGallery in Yaroslavl, and Molbert Gallery in Saint Petersburg. Her international program includes the Red Sea Arts Residency in Egypt and the Edinburgh Art Fair in the United Kingdom.
Working primarily with acrylic on canvas, Anastasiia explores landscape as an emotional rather than purely geographical space. The nature of Kamchatka—with its vast distances, mountains, water, and sense of isolation—is an important source for her visual language. She simplifies recognizable scenery into broad fields of color, layered brushwork, and shifting light, allowing observation to move gradually toward abstraction.
At the center of her practice is the idea of silence as a state of heightened presence. Through atmospheric landscapes and figurative compositions, she examines the fragile balance between the external world and inner experience. Her ongoing series Where It Becomes Quiet develops this idea through images of nature that function as spaces for contemplation, memory, and emotional pause.
