Description
This luxuriant vegetation suggests an arid garden in the sun. Under the giant aloe vera leaves, you can guess aloe vera, small animals fleeing the blinding light and on the agaves, cicadas singing in the heat of the rays. It is a window on the imagination of an Eden, exotic and sensual, fantasized by the artist.
Célia Picard draws with Indian ink, on paper, plants in flat, without perspective that seem to move. Here she offers us her vision of a desert, a primary forest of cactus and succulents covering the sand with leaves and roots.

Presentation
Célia Picard is a young artist graduated from the Fine Arts of Toulouse. His drawings of lush vegetation invest the imagination with a sensual and fantasized exoticism. They evoke distant jungles, a motif from elsewhere and yet are a representation of the floral vegetation and foliage of idealized France.
