Description
Balcony is a surrealist silk artwork where architecture, dream logic, and human emotion merge into a single theatrical tableau. A monumental spiral structure—part shell, part celestial mechanism—unfolds across an open seaside balcony. Its polished surfaces and elaborate textures echo baroque sculpture, impossible staircases, and living organic forms.
The accompanying verse,
“I warn you — do not take me true,
I'm only passing, drifted through.
My stay is brief, I won't be long,
so don't grow used to me, move on.", deepens the work's theme of transience. Balcony becomes a meditation on impermanence—on the brief visitation of people, memories, apparitions, and ideas that leave a trace before dissolving again.
Printed on luxurious silk twill with hand-rolled edges, the scarf functions as both a wearable artwork and a museum-grade collectible for display. Its intricate surrealist composition and narrative depth make it a compelling choice for collectors who value conceptual fashion, fine illustration, and poetic symbolism.
Presentation
My art bridges fine art and fashion, creating silk-printed designs that serve as both adornments and conversation pieces. Each piece holds a narrative—mysterious yet familiar—inviting the viewer into layered interpretations of dreams, memories, and shifting realities. By playing with spatial and temporal distortions, I aim to evoke a sense of timelessness. Wearing my designs allows the observer to experience an additional, personal dimension—strengthening or distancing connections but never leaving anyone indifferent.
