Description
Grey Composition is an original print realized by Luigi Veronesi between 1974 and 1976.

Hand signed and dated on lower left. Numbered on lower right. Edition of 100 prints.
This colored print represents an abstract composition with green, red and yellow geometric shapes on a grey background. The entire composition is a typical artwork of Veronesi production.
Luigi Veronesi (Milan, 28 May 1908 - Milan, February 1998). At 20 he became interested in painting studying at the Neapolitan painter Carmelo Violante. The great Modigliani exhibition of 1930 and the discovery by Kandinsky, Klee, and Schlemmer paved the way to abstract art. In Milan, in 1932, he exhibited his first still figurative creations, but immediately afterward the research on abstract art would begin. In 1934 he joined the Parisian group Abstraction création, he knew the experiences of Swiss constructivism and he adhered to the German Bauhaus. He actively participates in most of the exhibitions of those years, such as the historical exhibition of Italian abstract art at the XXXIII Venice Biennale. The multi-faceted personality, painter, designer, graphic designer, filmmaker, and photographer, has contributed to making him one of the greatest Italian abstractionists of the 900 fully integrated into an international environment.
