Description
This black and white artwork presents a scene rich in contrast and symbolism. At its center, a wrought-iron bed upon which two human figures recline; their carefree postures contrast with the dramatic background, dominated by a graphic representation of the Pietà, framed by a richly decorated border. This juxtaposition of religious iconography and modern banality questions the relationship between spirituality and everyday life. Presentation
Adolfo Arenas Alonso was born in 1972.
Trained at the School of Arts and Crafts in Seville, he became an illustrator specializing in graphic design. His art of decadence, with a wild structure, is tinged with a dark lust.
