The Scrap Yard is a splendid etching realized by the Italian artist Riccardo Tommasi Ferroni (1934-2000).
Hand-signed in pencil on the lower right margin and numbered in pencil and in Arabic numerals on the lower left margin. From an edition of 50 prints.
Tommasi Ferroni's style is recognizable in the fluid hatching, in the deep blacks and in the metaphysical, visionary, and surreal subject matter: the metal scrap lies in a forest.
The state of preservation is excellent, except for some small ink errors on the edge of the plate. A dry-stamp with a lily in a circle is on the lower right margin under the signature.
