A visceral collision of human anatomy and digital logic. The composition centers on a crouched male figure. He appears trapped beneath a veil of complex mathematical formulas and geometric webs. His posture suggests a struggle or a deep state of contemplation.
Tattoos adorn his skin. They blend with the superimposed binary codes and equations. This layering creates a tension between biological instinct and calculated precision. The warm, sepia-toned palette evokes an archival quality. It transforms the scene into a timeless study of existence in the machine age.
The gaze is drawn downward toward a modern keyboard. This object anchors the surreal imagery in a tangible reality. It suggests the interface where thought becomes data. The light catches the contours of the muscles and the sharpness of the lines. Every element reinforces the theme of cognitive overload. The artwork explores the fragile boundary between the organic mind and the rigid structure of algorithmic thought. It concludes with the stark contrast of a glowing red light on the peripheral hardware.
The photographs are carried out by technology and the consequent transformation of the world and of the human being.
These "Evolutions", are present both in the subject of the works exhibited, as in the professional career of the author. Not surprisingly, Daniel Dicenta Herrera, has traveled all the roads and recesses of his labor raw material, light. as a draftsman, illustrator, art-finalist advertising, film electrician, illuminator in theater, music and dance, photographer, filmmaker and producer...
For many years now, the symbiotic immersion in technology has caused the author's analog creativity to merge with his digital creativity, which, triumphant, is expressed through the incomprehensible language of the binary code, textures, codes of programming or polygonal interconnections, all components of the hidden universe, to make us see the invisible, which governs creation and chance. To show us how vulnerable we will be when the blackout is impossible to restart. It is no longer just about beauty, it is inevitable to generate emotions.
The experience accumulated during so much learning is channeled in the search for the truth of things. Or at least some truth that combats the inexorable banalization of our world and defeats the cult of the fleeting from calm and reflection.
To extract from his head the images he wants to transmit to us, Dicenta goes out to meet the reality. The Museum is located on the street, the Museum is the people who inhabit it and what happens there is a nutrient of inspiration to express feelings.
The new human relationships, their needs and expectations, love, mental technological immersion, systematic unreasonableness, the falsehoods and truths of our attitudes and aptitudes as a species and our longevity on the planet, are some of the concerns that transmits us with this multidisciplinary scenery in which the helpless intimacy of Humanity acts as the agglutinator of concepts.
In "Evolutions" we will find a dream world of pastel colors lacerated by mathematical concepts, incomprehensible vectors and ruthless algorithms. Human flesh versus hardware, virtual reality versus puppet mind in constant evolution. Natural life versus artificial intelligence.
Daniel Dicenta makes us leave in search of something that helps to understand, intuit or anticipate the paradox of the future that went away and the past that did not arrive. The present, fortunately, is in this room with its Walkers, Ingestant Communicators and Dancers roaming the shadows of a parallel existence.
