Series "Pipes" was unexpected beautiful discovery in the some abandoned landscape in California.
This artwork presents a stark and evocative scene that commands immediate attention. The focal point is a large, hollow concrete ring, lying obliquely on a barren landscape. This structure, framed by its dark, soot-streaked interior, creates a circular window through which the viewer glimpses the desolate expanse beyond. Alongside the concrete ring lies a toppled cylindrical tank, adding to the sense of abandonment and decay. The ground is scorched, and skeletal remains of charred branches thrust into the foreground, their blackened forms starkly contrasting against the predominantly grey and muted earth tones of the scene. These branches, devoid of any foliage, evoke a sense of devastation, as if the landscape has been ravaged by fire. The background is a hazy expanse that stretches towards a distant horizon, accentuating the isolation within the scene. The sky, though largely obscured, adds a sense of depth and infinite emptiness, emphasizing the desolation below. This artwork captures a powerful moment of destruction and aftermath. It stands as a testament to the haunting beauty that can emerge from desolation, urging viewers to reflect on themes of abandonment, resilience, and the stark beauty found in dereliction.

Presentation
Kat was born in artistic family where her grandfather and father are artists; particularly, father Oleg Zhivetin is an active artist in the United States. She was assisting father for a several years and have learned different mediums. Then she went back in Moscow and continue her artistic path.
Kat likes to experiment with different materials including natural such sand, rocks, animals remains. Her sculptures can be made of artificial and natural stuff at the same time. Often, she paints abstract compositions, but also speaks the language of geometry and unknown landscapes.
