This dynamic landscape painting captures the serene beauty of a riverine scene with vivid expressionist strokes. The artist employs a bold palette of blues, greens, and purples to depict the lush rolling hills and reflective waters of the river. Brushwork is deliberately loose, showcasing textured layers that add depth and movement to the composition. A small group of figures on the riverbank adds a narrative element, suggesting leisurely activities or contemplation. Presentation
Born on August 24, 1946 to the family of the famous Kyiv artist Petr Ivanovich Babak (1922-1973).
In 1976 he graduated from the Kharkov Art and Industrial Institute, department of industrial graphics. Studied in the workshop of Egorov and Professor Vikhtinsky
During his studies, he received several awards for participating in poster competitions.
Since 1999, he has taken part in regional and all-Ukrainian exhibitions and plein airs.
The artist's personal exhibitions were held in Kharkov (1998, 2002, 2007, 2017), Germany (1999), Krasnograd (2003), Lvov (2009).
Diploma winner of the international plein air dedicated to the 160th anniversary of the birth of I.E. Repin
Since 2003 Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine
The works of Vyacheslav Babak are in museums of Ukraine (Krasnograd, Chuguev), as well as in private collections in Ukraine, Russia, Germany, USA, Spain, Israel.

Vyacheslav Babak is a recognized master of landscape painting. The artist's canvases are filled with lyricism and romantic mood.
His color palette is devoid of excessive expressiveness; in almost every painting, the image of nature is depicted using the quiet “sound" of soft halftones, giving lightness and depth.
