Description
This artwork reveals a hand suspended in an almost sacred gesture, lightly touching a tulip with deep purple petals. The flower seems to vibrate with an inner presence: at its heart, a discreet flame rises. This fire is not destruction, but light: it embodies faith, intimate and ardent, which burns without consuming.
The hand, both tender and firm, does not grasp the flower: it accompanies it. This subtle contact evokes trust, surrender, the invisible relationship between the human being and that which transcends them.
The tulip here becomes a spiritual symbol: fragile in appearance, yet imbued with inner strength. The fire that runs through it suggests an embodied faith, rooted in the tangible world, yet oriented towards spiritual elevation.
The work transforms a simple gesture into a contemplative act. It speaks of a gentle yet determined belief, of an inner light that shines silently, and of a spirituality that expresses itself in the delicacy of everyday life.
Presentation
In the silence of my paintings resides a language: that of inner peace.
Each work becomes a personal journey, an intimate voyage, an inner exploration in which my paintings and ceramic pieces evolve and reveal themselves as I immerse myself in them. Each brushstroke, each gesture in the material, in the clay, is for me a quest for recentering, an attempt to transcend the superficiality of the world to reach a form of emotional truth.
Painting, modeling, shaping become slow, almost meditative acts. A detached vision emerges: a silent contemplation of immediate events, of what touches the soul, often in unexpected ways. My works aspire to embody this inner peace, to become gentle and melancholic windows opening onto a space of reflection, where serenity mingles with beauty.
My paintings and ceramic objects, like sensitive thresholds, invite contemplation that transcends the daily tumult. Like inner peace itself, my creations do not seek stillness: they carry a dynamic, a constant search, a renewed attention to oneself. Not in a selfish withdrawal, but in a generosity of offered emotions, captured in color, texture, clay, and glaze.
I would like my works to radiate a simple peace, to evoke a deep resonance in the hearts of those who look at them, like a discreet, intimate echo.
What if, ultimately, painting and shaping became my prayer?
Born in Colombes, Natacha Birds is a French artist. After secondary school, she attended the Auguste Renoir school in Paris, where she studied applied arts and earned a degree in web design. After several years working as a web designer, she returned to painting and has devoted herself fully to her artistic practice since 2019, and to ceramics since 2024.
Today, his work is expressed through painting and ceramics, in a sensitive exploration of light, silence, prayer and spirituality, where each work becomes a space for contemplation.
