This vibrant still life painting captures an assortment of fresh vegetables and fruits, meticulously arranged on a tabletop. The composition includes carrots, tomatoes, zucchini, garlic, a head of cabbage, and a handful of beets, each rendered with expressive, bold brushstrokes. A small tin bucket filled with dark, rich liquid and a basket of red berries add depth and intrigue to the scene. The artist employs a dynamic color palette, with vivid greens, purples, and reds dominating the artwork, highlighting the natural textures and forms of the produce. The interplay of light and shadow is skillfully executed, creating a sense of realism and immediacy. A sprig of herbs tied with red string adds a rustic touch, completing this homage to nature's bounty. This painting stands out for its energy, texture, and the evocative portrayal of everyday objects.
Presentation
Born on August 24, 1946 to the family of the famous Kyiv artist Petr Ivanovich Babak (1922-1973).
In 1976 he graduated from the Kharkov Art and Industrial Institute, department of industrial graphics. Studied in the workshop of Egorov and Professor Vikhtinsky
During his studies, he received several awards for participating in poster competitions.
Since 1999, he has taken part in regional and all-Ukrainian exhibitions and plein airs.
The artist's personal exhibitions were held in Kharkov (1998, 2002, 2007, 2017), Germany (1999), Krasnograd (2003), Lvov (2009).
Diploma winner of the international plein air dedicated to the 160th anniversary of the birth of I.E. Repin
Since 2003 Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine
The works of Vyacheslav Babak are in museums of Ukraine (Krasnograd, Chuguev), as well as in private collections in Ukraine, Russia, Germany, USA, Spain, Israel.

Vyacheslav Babak is a recognized master of landscape painting. The artist's canvases are filled with lyricism and romantic mood.
His color palette is devoid of excessive expressiveness; in almost every painting, the image of nature is depicted using the quiet “sound" of soft halftones, giving lightness and depth.
