Description
The painting “Magnolia” is painted in oil on canvas.
In China the white magnolia is revered as a symbol of femininity, serenity, beauty and sincerity. According to Chinese belief, the white magnolia symbolises purity of intention and faithfulness. In ancient times only emperors and members of the imperial family were allowed to grow magnolias.
In art the magnolia is a symbol of feminine beauty and tenderness and of marital happiness. Because of this symbolism, magnolias often feature in wedding bouquets. The main aim of loving wives is harmony in marriage, which is why in China brides' bouquets are always made from the feminine plant — the magnolia. Afterwards these flowers are always planted to adorn courtyards and gardens, preserving tenderness and love between husband and wife. The magnolia also embodies family happiness.
I wish everyone family happiness.
