Born in 1988 in Cergy-Pontoise, Red Highs is a French painter and sculptor whose atypical career reflects limitless creativity. Fascinated since childhood by lines, shapes and colors, he transforms his drawings into a natural extension of his imagination, where everything seems logically and harmoniously disproportionate.
At school, his remarkable talent was spotted by his art teacher, who set up a dedicated workshop to allow him to explore and refine his passion. Very early on, he exhibited his first creations - drawings, paintings and graffiti - on supports as varied as they were improvised: bus shelters, playground walls, and other unusual surfaces.
After studying business and marketing, with a specialization in graphic design, he founded his own studio, S2C Infographie, collaborating with several major French brands. But the call of creative freedom pushed him to reinvent himself.
Settled in Martinique for several years, he abandoned traditional graphic design to try his hand at cartoon illustration, exploring new artistic horizons. At the same time, he launched a brand of streetwear clothing and accessories, mixing his unique designs with textiles, an approach that reflects his innovative spirit and his roots in urban culture.
Back in the metropolis, Red Highs took a decisive turn: he definitively abandoned commercial graphic design to fully embrace his artistic vision. Under this new name, he specialized in painting and sculpture, marking a bold evolution in his career.
Now settled in Morbihan, he perfected his art by devoting himself to oil painting, which became his preferred medium.
His universe revolves around urban and pop culture, enriched by influences ranging from street art to the great masters of classical painting. His unique style, at the crossroads of eras, modernizes artistic heritage by integrating elements of west coast culture and emblems of pop culture.
His works revisit the classics with audacity: he updates the still life, reinterprets the iconic cartoons of our youth, and mixes Antiquity with modern references, revealing the unsuspected underbelly of History.
Today listed in the Dictionary of Listed Artists from the 15th century to today, he embodies a free artist, without constraints or boundaries, who continues to redefine the limits of contemporary art.
