Description
Series “The Language and Knowledge of Ancient Aesthetics."
This painting is a contemporary reinterpretation of the refined perception of feminine beauty, deeply rooted in the ancient artistic traditions. Inspired by the 11th-century temple reliefs from a complex dedicated to Shiva in India, it reflects how the female form was not only a symbol of earthly grace but also an embodiment of divine harmony.
The exquisite ornaments depicted in this piece were not merely adornments but sacred elements, emphasizing the connection between the human and the divine. The delicate bells and pearl chains, playfully embracing the body's contours, created a rhythmic movement reminiscent of dance—a form of spiritual and physical unity.
This work is a dialogue between the past and the present, where feminine beauty is not just an object but a living expression of culture, art, and a symbolic language that echoes the legacy of ancient civilizations.
Presentation
Ukrainian artist working under the pseudonym AreiRa. Born in 1988 in Kharkiv, Ukraine. Graduated from the Kharkiv Academic Art Lyceum and studied Interior Design at the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts. Since 2023, she has been actively engaged in painting, working primarily with acrylic and watercolor.
Her artistic practice combines figurative and mythological imagery, exploring themes of inner transformation, spiritual resilience, and the search for harmony. She draws inspiration from sacred symbolism, architectural heritage, and the cultural codes of ancient civilizations, creating compositions rich in subtle metaphors and emotional depth.
For AreiRa, painting is a form of meditative practice, where the material and the symbolic intertwine to open new inner dimensions. Her works have been exhibited in Ukraine and abroad. The artist's practice evolves through a dialogue with philosophy and the visual language of global cultural heritage.
Her works are aesthetic and spiritual focal points that harmonize space and open an inner silence.
