Description
Le Paradis is from a series of four works from 2005.
It is a wax on paint mounted on mixed canvas (linen and cotton), mounted on an aluminum frame (created by a locksmith).
Its chassis gives it stability and lightness in relation to its imposing format.
It is a delicate work whose hanging is done away from direct light, excess heat or cold, at the risk of damaging it beyond repair. Like a symbiote, it needs human conditions to live.
Wax is a living material, the work changes appearance according to light, temperature, pressure. Between opacity and transparency, his heart swings.
Work titled, dated, signed on the back.
Provenance: Private collection, acquired in 2015.
Catalog raisonné number: SB200505CTM004.
The work is delivered with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist's beneficiary. SHARE Gallery.
