Description
Thoughtful, refined, elegant and dreamy French woman Julie smokes in the dark at her window with a view of night Paris after midnight of love and pleasure with her pianist lover Gille…in his shirt.
In crafting this oil painting, I delved deep into the tapestry of human emotion and modern struggle. It's a chiaroscuro of contemplation, her exhale weaving a tale of thoughtful introspection against life's darker shades. I was inspired by the juxtaposition of strength and vulnerability, aiming to immerse the viewer in a moment of serene reflection. I envisioned this piece imparting an aura of sophistication and profound narrative to any space it adorns.
Presentation
Kristina Mallen, a painter with a background in oil and acrylic mediums.
Her recognisable style infuses the sophistication of Art Deco, the pop of Pop Art with a dominant focus on the female figure, manifesting elegance and eroticism. Her work exudes the extravagance, classical chic, and charm of women, striking a balance between provocation and the sublime.
