Description
This artwork presents a fascinating creature where different elements mix to form a hybrid being. This work explores artistic destructuring, calling into question conventional forms of representation. The human face is part of this creature, but it is transformed and fragmented, revealing a skull that emerges from the composition. This juxtaposition of different parts of the face and the skull evokes the vanity and fragility of human existence, while exploring the notions of transformation and metamorphosis. From the perspective of Cubism, this artwork presents a fragmented approach to reality, where shapes and elements are broken down and reassembled to create a new perception. The different perspectives and multiple angles give a feeling of movement and dynamism to the work. This hybrid and unstructured work of art, with its elements such as Tazmania's teeth, fragments of the human face and skull, explores the transformation and fragility of human existence. It offers a profound reflection on the notions of vanity, metamorphosis and perception, while being part of a cubist aesthetic which questions artistic conventions.

Presentation

Ronnie Jiang subtly and derisively combines stories to expose the contradictions of today's world. Realistic portraits and cartoon characters from this series dedicated to social reflection rub shoulders and dialogue. The interest of their confrontation is amplified by a duality of tones. The men, women and children painted in sober gray and flesh tones are heckled by the flamboyant colors of animated characters such as Pinnochio or Donald Duck.

Portraits, faces, lips, eyes, busts, breasts…. In this series dedicated to the destructuring of bodies, a joyful anatomy is built and deconstructed in the footsteps of cubism. The carnal fragments Geometric but always realistic identify themselves flawlessly and free themselves in their contortions. As usual, we detect in the work of Ronnie Jiang some characters from cartoons and famous people such as Picasso or Dali. Assertive and charismatic individualities spring forth without being disembodied. These new, strange and imposing creatures show a certain spatiality of forms. Their juxtapositions lead to the possibility of a new narrative. Despite the suggested mystery, the controlled and mannered line is part of the figurative filiation.

The artist reveals here through humor the failings of the information society, fake news, human innocence, the relationships of domination and the wars that destroy the world. These works intend to shake up consciences. Ronnie Jiang practices art with commitment. She aspires to convey an accessible message by transmitting a certain generational symptom. Caroline Canault.
