Description
In the continuity of the same series started in 2013, Olivier Messas remains with his head in the clouds. Always inspired by his travels, these new paintings give off an even more intense light. Olivier plays with depths and space as if each canvas were a photo of the earth, seen from above, but also an open window to a universe situated between dream and reality... The series entitled "La tête dans les clouds ..." will take in 2021, a new creative impetus... The works of this series will all be worked in a spirit of mixed technique where the tissue papers and the sands will mix harmoniously with the colors. The work of the material will also be highlighted.
Presentation
Born in 1977 in Hô-Chi-Minh-City, Vietnam, Olivier Messas is a painter living between France and Germany. After moving to France from Vietnam at the age of two, he quickly developed an independent character while remaining attached to his family and cultural values.
Initially orientated towards studies in accounting, Messas did not find satisfaction in this path and turned to fashion and styling before finally finding his true mode of expression in painting. His art, a subtle blend of realism and spirituality, draws inspiration from his many travels and encounters with different cultures. He distinguishes himself through vivid colors and clean lines, representing a balance between his emotions and his cultural heritage.
Olivier Messas regularly exhibits his work in Europe and Asia, and has received numerous awards, including the "Peinture & Sculpture" prize at the Salon International d'Art Contemporain in Saint-Tropez in 2016. His work is recognized for its ability to create unique atmospheres and moods, making him an artist appreciated for sharing and meeting with the public.
For Messas, artistic creation is an escape from the real world and a way of expressing his imagination and creative impulses. His work aims to strike a coloristic and structural balance, while conveying his impressions and intuitions through harmonious, evocative compositions.
