Biography
Alena Bure is a contemporary artist based in Hamburg. Since 2022, she has developed a multidisciplinary practice spanning digital art and acrylic painting. Her digital works have been published in WOWWORLD Magazine (Issue #13, 2026) and include a collaboration with the France-based digital art agency Artpoint.
Alena's practice began in digital painting, combining surreal, figurative and abstract elements before gradually expanding into painting, where the physical qualities of pigment, texture, and surface became central to her work. Rather than abandoning digital media, she uses both disciplines to investigate how images occupy space and how perception changes when an idea moves from the screen to a tangible object.
Working primarily with acrylic and texture paste, Alena builds layered compositions through an intuitive process of accumulation and revision. Quiet horizon-like lines, architectural suggestions, restrained color fields, and visible traces of making create abstract spaces that balance structure with openness. Her paintings do not depict specific places but evoke atmospheres where light, rhythm, and material become the subject themselves.
Process is fundamental to Alena Bure's visual language. Each layer records a decision, a pause, or a change of direction, allowing the surface to preserve the history of its own creation. Through minimal yet emotionally resonant compositions, she invites viewers to slow down, engage with the material presence of the work, and discover meaning through sustained observation rather than narrative.
