Description
The artist tells in this painting the dream (Jukurrpa) of Lukarrara, a grass that grows in the Central Desert and whose seeds the Aborigines crush in order to obtain flour with which they make small breads, from which its symbolic importance in such a hostile environment. This legend is known only to insiders, we only know that it is linked to the site of Jaralypari (north of Yuendumu) represented here seen from the sky. The white dotted lines symbolize the seeds that have fallen to the ground.
